convert Maya models to triangles ?
I created a simple box in Maya, then exported it to the Wavefront OBJ format, but the data is in quad format. I need it in triangle format. How do you convert models in Maya to triangles instead of quads ? Also, I created the box using "Polygonal Surfaces", NOT "Nurb Surface".

Make sure your context menu pulldown in the top left is set to Modeling so that the Polygons menu is present.
Select your object and navigate to
Polygons - Triangulate
Export.. enjoy

Where's the context menu pulldown ?

You should have a pulldown menu just below the normal File, Edit, Modify, etc menus.
