Scary tune for a game
Hi
I just thought i would throw in my little creation here to get some feedback. I was trying to create a tune for my game wich would have kind of dark and dramatic overtones. The hero is a partially sadistic and partly psychotick female.
here is the tune (500Kb).
Cheers, Martin.

Sounds pretty awesome and scary on my headphones. Good for an action-less seen with high amounts of ambience. Like exploring a new dark area for the first time.
Really like it though, nice work!
Edit: one bit of critique: The drum sound (The first sound you hear, that fades out) kind of sounds like it cuts off rather abruptly. Like you're hearing it fade out, then all of the sudden it's gone and it's silence.

Yeah, i see what u mean about the cut off. I will edit and post one or two versions soon.

Sounds pretty good to me, although my headphones at the moment are pretty crappy. Should be appropriate for a moderately dark/scary scene.
Ok, so far I wasn't able to use reverb before altering the sound too much. But I am going to work on it some more. However I have created a new version anyway. This time hopefully scarier. Only i am worried that it is perhaps too clutered.
Here is the new version (619Kb).
Cheers, Martin.
PS: My wife and her sister freak out everytime i play it :)

Very ambient, I like it.
The pounding drum just happens toooo much to be truly effective. Make me wait three times as long to hear the next and it will keep surpising me. With the rate its occuring at there, I can expect it after the second time. Its what the ears are listening for. Make 'em wait for it, they'll start to becoming more tense.
