Just to let you know, Spectrasonics have produced a brand new drum loop library, available as a download in various formats. 100% of the proceeds of this $25 (yes, twenty-five USD) library will go to Habitat for Humanity, a charity which is helping victims from Hurricane Katrina rebuild their lives. You can read about it on their website, http://www.spectrasonics.net/neworleans as well as hear a demo.

Can anyone comment on it? Are they royalty free?

Royalty-free and typical Spectrasonics quality. I bought it as soon as it came out (mainly because I wanted to donate, as I didn't THINK I'd be interested in this collection) - but I was pleasantly surprised! It's great. A few hundred MB of material, all sorts of drumloops and percussion, and it can come in RMX besides WAV format. Also Apple Loops and such.
