I have this idea, cough, 1.With 2 levels demo, if I cant find a publisher to provide monetary support to complete the game, is it practical to put the demo for free up in my webpage and earn ads and donation money in order for me to survive on french bread and water to complete the next 8 levels??? 2.Has this been done before? The only case I know of is Blender(?) and probably this game Hornado(?). 3.Is there any good "Ins and outs getting ads to your site" articles??

I think the free Runescape survives on Ads.

Probably not.

People who want to play your game aren't likely to click the ads. Ads are typically pay per click, and the advertisers choose to put ads on relevant pages only (Google ads).

Because computer games / software are relatively inexpensive, their ads are only worth a few pence per click, which means you need a great deal of clicks to pay for your French bread.

If you were doing some sort of dodgy content scam, like creating portals (i.e. pages with links to real content, containing no real content of their own) about sex, insurance, mortgages, loans or gambling, you might have some more success.

But that would make you an Evil Content Polluter, the kind who are currently rapidly destroying the usefulness of the internet. So I would have to go to your house (the one made of French bread) and [removed by moderator].
