Freeware/mod voice actor database / site ?

I was browsing through the Warhammer: 40k - Dawn of war mods and each of the best ones is looking for voice actors. No design documents, the intention pretty much starts and ends with a discussion. One of the really important reasons is an absence of competent actors. When you start a free game/mod, you have to start with coders, artists and designers but you have to end with voice actors. It would be a great improvement if there was some kind of database or site with a list of voice actors, short sound samples and more. The sound guys and musicians have generally the best hardware and software available in the free scene + you don't have to say "Jump on my sword evil, I won't be as merciful!" (BG2) for the acting to become a fun.

That sounds like a pretty good idea. There don't seem to be many voice guys out there on the indie game scene so it seems like it would be a good idea to have them all listed in one place.

I should advertise my services. There must be loads of game projects that need a British male voice for medieval warriors or criminal masterminds. :)
:))) Once I come across a finished design document, I shall tell you asap.

There's a voice acting board up at:

http://www.voiceacting.co.uk/board/index.php

The board gets a lot of traffic, and has sections for games, mods, you name it. I haven't worked with anyone I've recruited from there yet so I really can't give it a thumbs up or down yet, but it's going to be the first place I look at when I need the next round of voice actors.

That said, I'm personally looking for experience in voice acting as well, so if anyone needs a nerdy American male voice for something lemme know.
