It's funny how you can imagine a situation, but understanding it is one whole different matter. I could imagine how NeHe must have felt when he lost his mother, but I couldn't grasp or understand the meaning of it. I thought I could, but when you're going through the same "trial" (if you will so call it), you realize that you did not. Until now. My mother died the night between the 4th and 5th of August, 2005.

Sorry to hear that mate :( . Ive never experienced such a
"heavy" loss but one of my cats got run over once so I image it
must be like 10x worse. Dunno if this helps but im sure she had
a good life, getting kid(s) and such :) . It would be worse
if she had died as a kid without experiencing all the fun
(parents usually say that getting kids is the best thing that
can happen).

Yeah, that is true. I'm sure she's pretty satisfied with her life anyway.
She had a grand total of 10 kids.

That is, I have 8 brothers and 2 sisters.
However, my sisters are the only ones with kids.
My other brothers haven't gotten around to that yet. (thank god)

Sorry to hear about your cat dying the way it did, but one has to keep in mind that this is the way nature runs its course.

We live, we die.

If dying was something un-natural, not meant to be by nature, then I would be having a really hard time now dealing with the whole situation.
