Is a 10 GB HD enough for Fedora Core 4? I just want to use it for coding and things like that, nothing like games etc.

Yes.
Just don't install too many packages you aren't going to use.

10GB is fine, you can select the "Install Everything" option and you will still have around 2GB spare.
