Hi, I was just reading through tutorial #20(Masking) and at the bottom it said it would be better to use an image format that supports the alpha channel. I know TARGA images do. I was just wondering what image program would let me put the alpha channel into my image. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Zack A moment enjoyed is not wasted. -Gamers.com

Don''t know GIMP but I do know Paint Shop Pro works great for alpha channels... you have to create a mask from black pixels, then save the mask to the alpha channel. It''s pretty easy to set up.

Also make sure that (in DirectX) your ''alpha op'' texture settings are at least set at modulate (which worked for me after tweaking around for hours on my sprite engine).

Good luck, and if you need help, give me a shout.
