Trying Linux
I'd also recommend Knoppix, just because it's the only one I've used and it booted without any problems on both my P4 1.8 GHz 512 MB and my PII 266 MHz 64 MB.

Thanks, I wasn't sure what was happening, and now I got it running. The error said something like H:29 KHz and V:55 Hz, so I lowered the resolution, and I lowered the vertical refresh rate so its in between 50 and 60. I am not sure if I can have it higher or what the 29 and 55 mean, but it works now. :)

Those refer to the horizontal and vertical rates sent to your monitor. The vertical refresh is how fast the screen is redrawn in a second. The horizontal is the sweep frequency. The documentation for your monitor should list the frequency ranges and at what resolution the monitor can support them. Generally the higher you can set the the vertical refresh the easier it is on your eyes because it reduces flicker. The lower the resolution the lower the refresh rate can be while still elemenating flicker. Inversely the higher the resolution the higher the refresh needs to be to elemenat flicker.
