does anyone have any idea as to the percentage of online to offline players in a typical mmog? ------------------------------------------------------------- Task Force Pacific

I'm not sure if this will have the figures you're looking for here, but it does have many usefull statistics in regards to mmo subscriptions.

oh my god, I had no idea.

The numbers I've seen thrown around is that on a really busy day (like right after an expansion or something) you might get upwards of 1/3 of your subscribers connecting in to check things out. On a more typical day you might get 1/10.

I have no idea how accurate those numbers are but they seem reasonable for a big title. It probably varies a lot depending on the game - subscription fee, if you need to log in to "refresh" things, whether your subscriber base is increasing or not, etc, etc.

EVE online is typically between 10% (early morning) and 20% (sunday evening) of it's 60 000 suscriber base.
