canceled order

Hi, my order was also canceled, but without comment. I wrote a very polite mail to NeHe, but he did never respond. Should I wait another 3 weeks or order again? zardoz1

i have a similar problem.

Iescrow told me that my order was canceled, but not why. I first thought this was a problem with foreign orders (most US companies don''t accept them), but on his web page NeHe told that he accepts orders from any country on earth. So I wrote a mail to NeHe asking if I could reactivate my order, but I got no answer.

I fear he has no time to answer mail from us "ordinary" opengl-beginners, so I would suppose to order again, as I will.

you mean he cancels orders without explanation and ignores mail from frustrated customers? this is too arrogant, i will not order the f*cking cd again. can you tell me other sources to learn opengl?

please do not use the f*-word.

NeHe does a great job with his tutorial-site and you have to accept it if he doesn''t want to respond to your e-mail (perhaps he really has no time or he has no experience in trading with many other people).

To find other OpenGL-Sites look at the links on
http://www.opengl.org/
or try a search engine.

If you are really interested in OpenGL, you should buy the Programming Guide (Addison-Wesley, ISBN 0-201-60458-2, $49,95).

Have fun reading the Programming Guide!

In regards to the cd orders being cancelled. 10 orders were cancelled over 2 weeks ago. News was posted on the site for over a week stating that CD orders had been cancelled because I did not have the money to ship the CD''s and I did not want you guys waiting indefinitely for a product to arrive. Most of you had already been waiting 2-3 weeks. By cancelling the order I released your funds. Meaning you were given all of your money back. You''re not out anything.

For you people to jump into the forum and state that I''m ignoring you or not informing you what is going on is just wrong. I have responded to EVERY single email I received in regards to cancelled orders. If I have not responded to your email, perhaps you should make sure the email address you are sending to is correct. The only time I EVER ignore emails is when I just don''t have the time to respond, or the answer to the question being asked is already available on the site. Even then I will usually point the person to the right tutorial, lesson or link.

i just wanted to know how long it takes to ship from Canada to the US(new york)

this was the reason for my answer to this post:

coming back from a vacation, I found the Iescrow cancel mail in my incoming folder. I searched your web site without success for a hint and then sent a mail to you (address: nehe@connect.ab.ca, date: Nov 19), because I did not know the reason for the cancelation. Until now (Nov 26) I did not get a response mail.

Nevertheless does your reply to this post answer the mail, so I can order again.

P.S.: Forgetting to answer to a mail can happen to anyone, and I think we can finish this post now ;-)

Tapeworm: I called Canada Post (same phone number I gave you).
Your CD was ordered Nov 8th, I shipped it Nov 9th.
I have sent you scans of the receipt. The receipt
would not have a stamp had I not shipped it.
After talking to Canada post, they basically told me
the same thing the online tracking shows. The
Package left Alberta 11/09/2000. Nov 14th, the
package left Canada from Ontario. So it should be on
it''s way. A perfect example of how postal screw ups/
delays make me look bad.

Valmar: In all honesty, I did not receive an email from you.
I keep my mail archived for a month at a time. I
went back through the mail, and did not find a mail
from you. Had I received your email, you would have
definitely received a reply.

i didn''t think it was your fault. I was just curious if it always takes this long. I know how bad customs are.
