Who Are your Inspirations
Musically, what artists to you feel have influenced your work. I'd have to say to me, probably Freddy Mercury, Rhapsody, Bjorn Lynne, Noubu Eumetsu, Eminem, and Paul Lorigan, my music teacher.
Romantic composers Rimsky-Korsakov, Saint-Saens , and Rachmaninov. Ok, I'll admit I have a thing for romantic period music.
The famed Nobuo Uematsu isn't bad either.
Interesting you put Eminem, Ronenriku. I don't usually like that genre (pop or hip-hop?), but his style is interesting.

Eminem is rap, and its by far the best rap in existence (only rap I can stand, hate all this "candy Shop" crap.) Umm... Romantic Period. Ah, classical is the basis of it all, but i never got into it. I found New Age more exiting and stuff. Oh, and I forgot to add "Toshiyuki Omori" the composer for the Japanese Shaman King.

Everything!
I'm inspired by any kind of imaginative music. Video game music is my primary influence, particularly the music of Nubuo Uematsu, Yasunori Mitsuda, Jeremy Soule, etc. I'm influenced by classical music in general, since I played it most my life... hard to pick out any specific influences. John Williams is a no-brainer, obviously. I love progressive rock and power metal, particularly the likes of Symphony X, Kamelot, Adagio, etc... very influential. I'm influenced by electronica in general, in fact I only listen to a few artists, yet I write a ton of electronic music. Weird. Bjorn Lynne is an artist I recently discovered, and you can bet your ass that he's on the list of influences.
I could spend the next 7 hours citing influences, so I'll stop now.

Bjorn Lynne... Yup, he's defenetely one of my influences as well, yup.
Among game composers, I'll go with Inon Zur and Alex Brandon.

Nobuo Uematsu is my main influence in game composing. For guitar, my influences are John Petrucci (Dream Theater), Marty Friedman and Jason Becker (Cacophony) and Alex Skolnick (Testament, Savatage, Trans Siberian Orchestra).
