New to this world?!!??
Hey, I am 40, and i am interested in entering this programming world for a new career. Does anyone think this is posible at my not so young age? I have enrolled in AIU online. I attended ITT but i didnt like the school at all.
Any input would be appreciated!!! thanks
Well anything is possible if you really want it and you put your gut into it. Programming can be learnt, but I can't say that it's an easy process. The basics are pretty simple, but once you get into Direct X and OpenGL and everything else it gets more complicated. But then again anyone can learn it so.
It might be that time is working against you right now, but once you get started in brushing up your skills it's working for you.

Sure it's possible, but just remember the older you are, the harder it is to learn new things. And you'll have to learn many new concepts.
So, possible?, yes. Easy?, no way.
Good luck with it!

Don't let these naysayers get you down. I decided to take up game programming at an older age than you and it has been a quite good decision. (Admittedly, I was a programmer before).
