I looked through what was on the first page of the forum, I know it was hard for you to type 2 lines... (sorry but Im having a bad day vc++ is not behaving)
A ".jam" file is a "NeHe-generated" bitmap file. It is actually the initials of NeHe''s name. =) Quite clever, actually; even I had to think about that one for a while.

Hope that helps! To the other guys and girls here: Please don''t pick on newbies.... Not everyone wants to dig through the logs of the message boards, you know? =) It''s not cool to make someone feel unwelcome in a place that was designed to welcome everyone in the first place.

I agree its not cool, and its wrong to have a go at newbies and tell them to look harder. But the JAM question did appear within the past week......

It''s not just a bitmap, it''s any file used in a program such as an MP3 WAV TGA TXT or BMP file.
