Coming up with your game name

Usually what I do is take a look around at objects around me at the time and any text they have on them, and start thinking of ways to combine the words. I knew I wanted the name of my game to be "Hero of {WORLD}", because the central plot focus of the game was finding a legendary hero rumored to save the world from destruction. I had a real hard time deciding on the name of the world for my game and "Allacrost" just kinda popped into my head randomly. I wrote it down and spent the rest of the day thinking and couldn't think of anything better.

I needed to register our domain at the time so I was just like meh, whatever. Allacrost it is. Honestly at first I wasn't too crazy about the name, but now I really like it. It has sort of a classical "knights and kings" feel to it with a hint of mystery. Or maybe I'm the only one that thinks so. [lol] But Hero of Allacrost has a nice little ring to it I think.

And for the record, you pronounce Allacrost: "al ah crost". Does anyone think that name can be confused with a different pronunciation?

That doesn't really apply to names...
