No, no this is not a demo release we are just planning everything right now. Have a game engine thats almost done and ready for use and a large chunk of the story done. But I would just like to get some feedback on the outline of the story of our game. Also it is an RPG and everything is going to be 3D. If you need anymore information of the story, char backgrounds I will post it. I just want to get peoples opinions on what they think about the idea and the story. Meaning if the game was for free would you download it and play it/try it out or does it sound boring, needs more to it, been done before, etc. Heres an outline of the story. The Lost Adventure is a third person RPG. The game focuses on a strong story adventure set back in medieval times but more fantasy than medieval and a little more technology than regular medieval times with heavy bases on magic. All the characters have some form of magic use. The characters also have one summon spirit as seen and used in Final Fantasy games. The summons spirits do have one twist completely different from the Final Fantasy game. They have the ability to morph or change into a completely new summon spirit but only while attacking "during battle" and then go back to its original state. The player will be playing the role of Killy a young boy that is out for revenge on the mysterious figure that has killed his mother and his haunting his dreams. The player will also have three other party members that will join him along on his quest. The player will travel the land trying to stop the evil force that is brewing to take over the land and destroy all of humanity. The player will travel threw villages that have side quest in them for the player to break up the game play from the main story line. This will also lead to the player acquiring new magic skills and hard to get objects to upgrade his party members. ================================ Character Descrips Killy "main Char" lives with foster parents that have taken care of him his whole life. No-one knows where or what has happened to his real parents, they are believed to be dead, lost in the great war. For the past nineteen years of his life Killy has been haunted by dreams of a mysterious knight dressed in a black suit of armor. In these dreams he sees the knight slaughtering hundreds of innocent people and destroying the world. The only way he can stop these dreams is if he sees Galfridus, in Ingram that is suppose to know magic and might be able to rid him of his terrorizing dreams. Killy picks up his sword and starts the day long journey to Ingram hopefully to cure his dreams. *Spoliers* if we get the game done! Killy's parents where killed in the great war, they died battling Octavius. Killy's family generation has been trying to rid the world of Octavius, for hundreds of years. Octavius is terrorizing his dreams to stop him from learning his past and becoming a warrior. His mom was a magic user, the strongest in the land. His father was a knight of the king. Together the two where unstoppable. But Octavius was too strong for them. They both died fighting him. The nanny in charge of Killy while his parents where trying to stop t Octavius found out about the death of his parents and quickly hid Killy before he was found and killed by Octavius. The town she hid him in had a magical power surrounding it and the land it was built on. The magic would stop Octavius from finding him, but not stopping him from terrorizing his dreams. Killy's sister was taken to another town hidden from Octavius and Killy. Killy knows nothing of his sister but will soon find her. Read sisters bio for more info on her. =========================================== Sylvanus has grown up in a small town; her father is head of the town church. He has been teaching Sylvanus the art of white magic for the use of good. Her skills of white magic are not very good but, one day, she will become a great sorceress Sylvanus knows only curing spells, she one day wants to travel the land and rid the sick of their illnesses. Her wish will soon come true and a journey of a life time will begin for her. *Spoliers* if we get the game done! Sylvanus is the sister of Killy she was hidden from Killy and her past so that Octavius could not find her and kill her. She will become a strong magic user in the white magic area. Sylvanus will mainly be a healing class restoring the party's health. Sylvanus look: She is dressed in white clothes "dress" and is a young girl the same age as Killy "19 years old" =========================================== Marcus wonders the land with no place in particular to travel to. He has been alive for more than a hundred years. He lives for ever but can be killed for he is not immortal. A great magic user gave him this power to live for ever. The only way he can die is if someone kills him or he takes his own life. But being killed is unlikely for he is very skilled with the sword. Marcus has walked over every inch of the known world and has seen everything there is to see. He has been in every major battle that has taken place in the past hundred years. He is always looking for a new adventure and a way to help the world and this he will soon find… *Spoliers* if we get the game done! Marcus was the guardian of Killy's and Sylvanus parents. He survived the battle against Octavius since then he as been traveling the land waiting for the =========================================== Galfridus is a mysterious figure, not much is know about him or his past. He is a great Wizard of black magic and his spells can cause serious damage. His magic is more for killing and less for healing. Galfridus wants to rid the land of evil and show off his great powers. He will soon get the chance to do both. *Spoliers* if we get the game done! Galfridus is the same as Marcus. He was assigned to protect the bloodline of Killy's and Sylvanus. He gave Marcus his power of eternal life, which he also gave him self it too. He survived the battle against Octavius and went his separate way from Marcus. ========================================== Summon Spirits The summon spirit morphing ability is when the command in battle is chosen the summon spirit could morph say "only for example use" from a frog to a bird. This will bring on a new series of attacks, and stats for the summon. So instead of a tongue lash from the frog it would be a charging strike from above from a bird's beak. So when attacking the player chooses the summon spirit to morph and attack with a new list of attack different and separate from the old summon spirit. You could try posting more, hard to tell, though so far it sounds a little generic as fantasy RPG’s go, though the littler details of how you handle the story and character advancement will make a big difference on the final product.
