HI, im planning to do a game with all the needs, but i want to know concret prices from the composers, prices per song, or per min of song, please if you dont want to post it, just email me, no problem thehaunted69@gmail.com
Do you have any info about this game you're doing? It could be helpful to the viewers of this board to know details about it

Well, I don't know about the others here, but personally that information would depend on the specifics of the project. Some file formats (specifically the older mod type formats) are just a bit harder for me to work with, and so the fee would be increased slightly. In addition, I'd charge less for producing variations on a theme than for a completely different piece.

Also, the type of music and instrumentation comes into play. As with everything, others may be different, but for me it's a lot easier to produce a techo piece than it is to produce something orchestral, simply because I have to work with a fairly massive range of instrumentation in an orchestral piece than I normally would with something electronic.

So, as jeffie7 said, you'll probably be able to get better information if you provide more information on what you'd want.

It depends more on length for me. A well-thought out techno piece can take just as much energy as an orchestral theme. It is all about complexity and length. Pieces can be very simple, or very complex, regardless of genre.

After the free 30 second demo draft, I'd probably start at about $50-$70 for the first 2-3 minute track. Prices will then go up or down from there depending on the project size and length of the tracks. Royalties can also be taken into account if the product is to be sold, but many of these small details are on a person-to-person basis.

How you handle royalties?
There are people who silence make them crazy, cause they can´t battle with the sound inside them
Depends on the situation, really. Royalties are handled on whatever terms you decide to specify, just as long as the producer agrees with those terms (yes, the terms have to be reasonable). As a composer, you are entitled to royalties, but you may just settle for a slightly larger payoff, or might just decide not to ask for them at all if the project is a smaller scale. So again, it depends on the circumstances.

I am willing to lay down tracks for you at a one time fee that can be negotiated to your budget/needs.

Exptect to pay only $25 and up as my portfolio is nonexistant at the moment due to the reinvention of my ways in music. Your low-price gaurentee is really a hook to help build an updated portfolio. So I am helping myself as well. I can send you many samples, though. After I am amused of your seriousness in this matter.

I can do many styles of music BUT...

~I will not touch a country project.

It's not some inane hate for the music or anything, I just don't have a grasp of Country's theory. I never really listened to it.

Hip Hop? The best beats around my spot. All the rapper kids are jealous and rap about killing me.

Rock? Kinda new at it, but when I have a guitarist lay down some licks, Hits are produced.

Everything in between? Just give some crazy music-fan request for a level of something.

One request:
I would like either to watch a video of the game in question, at the moments in question regarding the music's appearance place.
Or to play said in-question-materials and times.

Up to you, but I'm serious and ready to go to work the moment a project is requested.

Please PM me to get in touch, as I may not visit this thead for a while.

PS for limited time, anyone may have that discount.

I accept money orders and am going to be accepting paypal soon enough,
thanks.

I am not so concerned with royalties at this time because I would like to build a good relationship with a few decent coders and designers to do something.

I'm the guy that wants a mentor in games development.

I find most people prefer to avoid royalties, but they can sometimes be an alright option. As a composer, you have to be aware that if the product doesn't sell, you won't get anything. If you understand that, and are happy to accept royalties, then you just have to work out terms specific to the project at hand.
