That is an idea... They spend time learning the spell, but the exertion from the casting forces them to have to relearn it to become as skilled again... They also stop being able to cast that spell to a maximum proficiency (the maximum profficiency drops with each cast)... This way, it may be better to wait a LOOOOOOOONGGGGG time before you use your spell, for a worthwhile cause

Well, there''s remort in some MUDs, where you can choose to start again, but you are able to change class, race(even be born a previously not available race) and you''re able to learn all the skills you had plus the new skills of your new class.

Sorry i couldn''t read the entire thread as i''ve got to run out the door shortly. But the first 5-6 posts stirred my mind and i just had to say something.

A characters weakness doesn''t have to come from health all the time. If you could re-creat the characters weakness in another form such as relatives, items, postion or power etc then the system would work fine. Just look at simcity to see what i mean. You can live forever, while your weakness is what you make in the game. Just some quick thought''s i had to share Let me guess thought, someone''s already said that??
