cygwin
I'm thinking of running Cygwin on a PC, but I'm curious, before I do this as to what gets installed? Is it a boat load of dll's that reside in a cygwin directory? Or is anything in the registry change on a windows machine? Is it easy to uninstall on a windows machine? Please help, Thanks, L-

AFAIK everything gets installed in one directory (and below there). Throw away the directory and Cygwin is gone.

Well I know that there is at least an ssh service which comes with cygwin, but I had to install that manually. I'm guessing that's what cygwin does with other services too.
I don't know if those would get uninstalled correctly or if you would have to manually remove them too.
