Z-buffer question
Hey, does anyone know how I could go about reading the contents of the z-buffer directly. I need to be able to save it to a file (probably as a 5th channel on a new image format) for a new edge detection technique I''m working on. Hopefully, when I''m done the results will look somewhat like an inked drawing. Anyways, if anybody has any info as to how I could get at the Z-buffer contents directly and what format the depth data is stored in it would be greatly appresiated =)
