I'm looking for a program to create simple ambient sounds and some pads. Mainly for intros and backing tracks for my songs. Please? I'm not sure how I can describe what I want more. I'm not looking for sounds effects... just ambient loops.

A 4-bar common time 120 bpm piece of music with harmonic motion that returns to its starting point

For a shake-n-bake solution, i know several artists that have released ambient "loops" collections. I'm not spondering any of these links, but these are the ones i'm thinking of:

Basically instead of just going straight into our songs, my and my band decided to have a little synth intro.
A lot of bands use it, like Haunted by Evanescence for example.

Then we export the sounds, and import them into our keyboardists keyboard.
