When i run an opengl program in a window, the program run like a turtle... but when i run the same program in fullscreen it runs normally (i''ve tried some of the lessons just clicking yes or no to the Fulscreen question and find this diferences) and when i get some of the programs in the helloween contest, they run slow even in fullscreen if i get the compiled program(i dont have microsoft VC here, i compile the lessons on c++builder5) well if some1 could help me i''l apreciate... PS: I know, iknow... i really write a bad english... i''m brasilian... AgamemnoN Guilherme Boreki

because i use a voodoo 3 and it runs faster in a window for me
and all i did was install the drivers off the cd and then went and got the knew drivers from glsetup.com

I have a Voodoo3 2000! This is normal behavior!
The card is not designed for windowed work, it''s optimized to run the 3d acceleration! That means that the 3d has to be the only thing running and that means FULLSCREEN! I like to test stuff in windowed modes but one of my projects runs at about 0.5 fps windowed so I have to debug it fullscreen and then it hits the vsync wait and runs at 60hz!
