Help with forming a business plan
hi there,
I need a bit of help with forming my business.
I was wondering how much office space would be needed for about 40-50 employees. Also what would be an average price for that office space in Ontario, Canada. If you can help with the location part that would be great, but I am mostly just looking at how much office space will be needed.
Thank you

It might help if you tell us something (anything!) about what you intend to do (and what you need in the office to do it) otherwise its impossible for us to give any meaningful answers.
As for the cost - contact a realestate agent. They will be the best people to give you advice on that.

Space
Overcrowded working conditions can damage health and productivity and increase the risks of fire and other hazards.
For these reasons inadequate working space is illegal, and under the Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992 employers must ensure, as a minimum that 11 cubic metres should be allocated to each person.
Remember that 11 cubic metres may not be adequate if the room is cramped with equipment or furniture. The regulations propose that in an average room, where the ceiling is 2.4 metres high, a floor space of 4.6 square metres per person is necessary. If the ceiling is three metres or above, the minimum space decreases to 3.7 square metres.

The project is a MMORPG
I will mostly be looking at outsourcing the servers to IBM. I was thinking about 2000-3000 square is what I was thinking. If you consider the side of a cubical at 7x7 that would be 42 feet per employee that would be be about 2100 square feet, but you will need other things like maybe some little meeting rooms as well. I am just trying to get a feel if this would be enough space.
