Hey guys ! after few days of serious bitchin'' I "persuaded" my Voodoo 2 to cooperate with me but .... After completing the 1st Textures tutorial I''ve noticed that the performance is poooooooooor. Even after increasing the rotation values. What did I mean by pooor performance ? well the cube is spinning so slow like it was going to die in front of my eyes. I''ve got all the latest drivers I could lay my hands on (glsetup/dx7 and so on) LUV , HUGZ & KISSES

DX7 drivers won''t help you with GL, but maybe i can help a bit more than that. I have a voodoo4 4500 and it''s OpenGL preformance is much better in fullscreen mode. Are you in a window or fullscreen?

I''m running in Fullscreen (always).
By the way , I know that Directx doesn''t help very much .

Actually, glsetup REQUIRES dx7 funnily enough.

glSetup is beta version that can cause problems. I lost 50% performance when I used glSETUP. I fixed the problem by down loading the latest driver from the manufacturer of the card!

You''re not a programmer until that moment you stop yourself from destroying your computer into a billion- million pieces

Funny, where can I find the GL drivers at the 3dfx site ?

I guess there was never a real OpenGL ICD driver for the Voodoo² ;-)) Only some kind of minigl, which you have to init and load explicitly. So NeHe''s tutorials will run in software on your card. At least sowftware rendering looks better than Voodoo Hardware, but it''s sooooooo slow. I know this. Evertimw my GL driver crashes all my Apps run in SW till the next windows restart, it''s a step from 100 to 1 FPS...
