I was just wondering what I would do in my situation? I have an 80Gb hard drive currently with Windows 2000 Pro the only thing on it. I was wanting to partition it to give Linux about 30-35Gb, and install FC3 to dualboot with Windows 2000. Thing is, I might want to change distro later. Can I just reuse the same partition again, and just install the new distro straight over Fedora, or do I have to reformat anything/make new partitions/uninstall Fedora? I'm a bit of a Linux n00b, you see.
exactly as you say. you can re-use it.

If you upgrade to a distro that can retain the info in your home directory then remember to delete hidden files when you upgrade, otherwise it can make the system very unstable.
or backup home, then format it :)
