upside-down textures in DevIL
had gone to sleep..... just woke up
because, basically, I want the library to work as a normal image loader should... My code should work the same with any image loader don't you think? I cannot believe that they made such a big library and did not manage to load the images correctly, there MUST be a setting or something there.....

ok, I found the problem....
look at this

only in this release, the texture coords for opengl are wrong, I cannot believe it.... anyway, for me the solution is iluFlipImage before calling glTexImage2D. Thanks all of you, lovely forum dwellers!
