architectural artist - where should I look?

Xenallure is a science fantasy RPG/adventure dating sim. It will have 3D anime-style art. We currently have a few staff artists, but no one who is into architecture, and we need some really snazzy and culturally distinct architecture for the different races' locations in the game. Techno race - Art nouveau architecture with a gothic/futuristic twist. Locations include a mall and apartments. A talented graffiti artist will be decorating some of the city walls for us.

Magical race - A cross between traditional oriental and medieval european architecture. Must look very homey and pastoral, with a touch of magic from runes, lamps of magical flames, and magically enhanced fountains and flowergardens. Locations include a family home, a craft workshop, and a cathedral.

Spiritual race - Cliff dwellings of glowing opalescent stone. Locations include cave apartments, cliffs with tree roots sprawling down them, a waterfall, and a dusty neglected library/museum.

Dramatic Art Noveau - Well, Gaudi is an interesting example, although his stuff is actually more biomorphic than art noveau. Victor Horta is probably the archetypal example of an art nouveau architect.

And here are some more detailed instructions and examples of art nouveau I am providing to people who apply to do architecture art for me:

I want to help design a "sandpark" MMO. Optional interactive story with quests and deeply characterized NPCs, plus sandbox elements like player-craftable housing and lots of other crafting. If you are starting a design of this type, please PM me. I also love pet-breeding games.

And I cacth up the style you are looking for. Might add a gothic touch to the whole building for the techno race.

Oki, when I finish a pair of creature concept i'm working on at the moment, I'll make some techno race's mall and appartments. Sincerely, never tried that art nouveau before, but I'll give myself a try. I really feel interested in such a callenge =)

When I have something to show I'll post it here.

Fixed the links, sorry about that. Yeah a gothic touch is what we want, more in terms of colorscheme than shape. Ok, PM me when you're going to start, I would like to see a portfolio if you have one and I have more detailed info about particular rooms such as the mall. :)

Oh, and if your library has it I recommend you check out the book _Art Nouveau_ by Gabriele Fahr-Becker. There are about a dozen books titled _Art Nouveau_, of which any would probably be helpful, but this one is the best IMO.

Do these types of artist use autocad (i'm just curious) and import to max?
I'm an architecture student, but the art nouveau style is a really difficult style to design today. Its the tools, like AutoCAD and MAX that have pushed design styles towards more technical lines.
However, Gaudi and Victor Horta, and most examples of art nouveau architecture, are mainly designed in freehand, not even using a ruler! I've seen original layout designs by Antonio Gaudi and they were completely in freehand! It was amazing! That's why art nouveau style seems so light and free-flowing, as opposed to modern architecture and gothic ancestors who were based on techical design means.

Hehe, well, walls are walls, they have to be straight lines, so ruler is necessary:

not necessarily. Check out the plans of the sagrada familla or la pedrera, by Gaudi. You won't find a single piece of straight line. Sometimes you find no straight lines even in the section layouts (vertical direction).
I've seen La Sagrada Familia myself...I'm a spanish guy =)

And I'm sorry to say that there are A LOT of straight lines:

ok now it gets personal. :) hehe... I'm kidding. I admit it, I'm wrong, there are straight lines in the sagrada familla. But are there any in the casa Batlo or the Pedrera? And I mean at plan layout, not in the vertical direction.
My point is the lines in the general impression of the building. Besides, the sagrada Familla has a lot of gothic elements.

Ps. Are you from Barcellona? Thats the only place in Spain I've been.

Hehehe, what I was meaning were vertical straight lines, and what you were meaning were horizontal straight lines. We were talking about different things!

BTW, I have always wanted to be on Greece...I love the clasics buildings on there.
