rotating

how would you rotate a cube and not have everything rotate with it? i want it so i can walk around and see a rotating cube, but when i try it, it rotates everything.
In OpenGL use glPushMatrix()/glPopMatrix(), it stores the current setup and then puts it back to where it was.
glPushMatrix(); glRotatef(.... // whatever coords// Draw cubeglPopMatrix();
