What was your first profitable game, and how did it go about?
Well I'm looking into pushing my next project to be one that I'll sell. I'm just looking to research what others in the industry did right/wrong, how it was presented, etc. I'm just looking for the projects which made you enough money to "buy a new video card", nothing more. So if you have a project this broke that, would you be kind enough to answer the following questions:
1) What was the game you made?
2) Did you sell it? If you sold it how did you sell it?
3) How much did you make off the game?(only an underestimate please)
4) What went right? What went wrong?
5) What was the biggest selling feature of the game?
6) Did you have other forms of income generated from things other than your game?(IE ads on the games webpage, product placement, etc)
7) What was the biggest lesson learned from the project?
