2D mapping Coordinates

I have a movie file (from a TV show) where we want to add an object. For example, in the show there's a table and we want to add a vase of flowers in that spot. IS there a way to run the file through a piece of software and generate multiple coordinates for that area on the table? Sorry if this is the wrong place to ask. I've seen a lot on rendering 3D coordinates but nothing for television type 2D. I'm a beginner. Any direction would be greatly appreciated. Thomas
thank you for the quick reply. Taking each frame and applying a coordinate is rough work. Have multiple areas to do. Could work though

I'm not looking to do the actual placement. JUST get the coordinates. Obviously....if the time comes that the coordinates can be applied, they would have to apply to some type of industry standard, 3D max or other.

if you have ideas on how to get these coordinates (numbers) get in touch with me at tmngroup@yahoo.com. I have work.

Thanks
Tom

I'm trying to do 100% exactly what PatchMaker does. (http://www.patchmaker.net/enu/) Add a mask and insert an object in the masked area. The length of the video clip would be anywhere from 2-30 seconds. Patchmaker demo worked good. It renders the entire scene.

Are there similar/better products than patchmaker?

Are there professionals available that work with this product? I would be interested in speaking to them for a long term project.

Thanks for your time on this. You pointed me in the right direction and I found the perfect fit. Now if I can find a pro that can create the inserted image and render the video I'm good to go.
