Degree Choices

Howdy, I'm currently pursuing a double major in CIS (Computing and Information Systems) and Cognitive Science at my university. My question is this: I want to be involved in game/software development in my career (preferably at the designer level, but whatever I'm suited to ultimately). Is it worth losing my Cog Sci major and transferring to the school of engineering so I have a CS degree instead? At my school CIS and CS take the exact same CS classes. The only difference is the engineering set and the name of the degree. I want to pursue postgrad law. Will having my degree say CIS instead of CS affect my job options in the field, and if so, how? I'd appreciate any answer I can get.
I'm confused: do you want a career in game design, game programming, or law? These are all very different in the skills and knowledge required.
