Was looking at Lightwave LWO models, they only define their objects using quadrilaterals, rectangles and n-sided polygons..anything but triangles..WEIRD!! How is 3DS max models compared to OBJs ?, I mean are they really efficient or easy to write code for ? Any good place where I can find enough info on OBJ models so as to start writing code to import them. I was writing code for ASE format but as Nate pointed out 3ds Max''s ASE file exporter is sort of buggy. So, sort of stuck in deciding between which (other than ASE && md2) 3D model format is worth looking into for starting to write code. Appreciate your responses. NeoGL

glm is a library (under GPL) to import & display .obj files
(source code is provided)....it''s by Nate Robbins
but the only place I can find it right now is
http://romka.demonews.com/opengl/utils/index_eng.htm
(does anyone have the original link? i think there
was more info on .obj format in the original place)

wotsit.org has got more stuff if you look under 3d file
formats and .obj

hope that helps
