Can someone help me out. Ive downloaded the mesaLib-3.3.tar.gz and MesaDemos-3.3.tar.gz...is there anything else i need? and how do i put these libraries to use?..i know its very simple in Windows, im just having a little trouble in the linux environment. thanks for the help

What video card do you have?

If you have an NVidia based chipset you do not need the Mesa software. Instead install XFree86 4.0.1 with the NVidia kernel modules and GL drivers.

You will then get full hardware acceleration in all your code and be able to run games like Quake III Arena under linux.
