I was wondering if there was any spot on the Internet where I can find a free Non disclosure agreement. I am looking for one because I want to start finding employees soon, and I feel the best way is to make sure I have a NDA. Please let me know Thanks Lee
How about hiring a lawyer?

right now I don't have enough money to hire a lawyer because I am paying for other parts of the game. I've seen NDA before and they are only like 2 pages long. Therefore, I was thinking about making one myself, but I wouldn't know if that would still be classified as a legal document.
If you wrote it on a napkin and both parties signed it, it's a "legal document". Whether or not the language is enforceable, well...that's a different issue.

Just do a simple google on "non disclosure agreement", there are tons of samples on the web.

Best place to search would be a search engine. Just typing "non-disclosure document free" generated 10 pages of sites either talking about or offering free NDAs.

The problem with doing it yourself/downloading is that words and phrases in legal documents often have specific legal meanings that aren't always obvious to those of us who don't have legal training. (For example, there is a big difference between "a breach of contract" and "a material breach of contract".) Unless you have a lawyer to explain the meaning you risk agreeing to something without ever knowing what it is. In addition if one of the employees asks what a term means you wont be able to answer.

Another good reason to talk to a lawyer is that they will point out that in addition to an NDA you need contracts and (most important) assignment of right for IP. Without the proper legal documentation in place there is a chance that one single employee could pull the rug out from under you at any time. I have seen it happen on several occassions and it isn't a pretty sight.

Lee, if you are thinking of hiring people to work for you, you need a lawyer. Really, you do. If you can't afford one, you can't afford the legal issues that will[/w] come up later.
