On the 25th, Nehe posted news about a demo called "3D Demo" that is in 3D. Nehe also said that you can get the glasses to view the demo here: http://ddd.com/products/pro_plug_glasses.asp I'm worried about giving out my address. Has anyone ordered from here? Did they get the glasses? Are they really free? Also, what kind of glasses are they? Thank you, wolfman8k Edited by - wolfman8k on 10/25/00 7:27:58 AM
Well, I just ordered mine, will let you know when I get it. About security, as long as they don''t ask for credit card no., you should be okay. Who cares about the address.

Once someone has your address they can make a profit off of it by selling it to companies that want to advertise so you will be seeing a lot more junk mail... Fun, eh? Other than that (and some guy that wants to only stalk people who have purchased a certain product for some weird reason...) then there''s really no big deal with giving out your address....

Another advantage to being Canadian, eh? A lot of those American companies don''t want to spend the extra dough to mail thier junkmail to Canada (or so it seems. I haven''t gotten one piece of junk mail yet).

cant seem to get through the form handler crashes everytime i try to fill the form
I just ordered some too... the page indicates that my personal info won''t be used for marketing purposes (I guess they''re telling the truth, or they wouldn''t say anything at all) and it says allow 3-5 days for delivery, which is faster than I expected for a freebie...
Isn''t DDD the company that makes a $12,000 3D (no glasses needed) monitor? Maybe they''re giving away excess old stock...
Or maybe I''m just going to get a pair of cardboard red/blue glasses The web page unfortunately didn''t have a picture of the free 3d eyewhere; I think the pictures were of another product.
