I have a USB HP 3400C scanner that works fine in Windows and I'd like to get it to work in Linux. I've installed sane and xsane, but when I run xsane it says it can't find the scanner. I'm using Debian testing with a 2.6 kernel. Any help?
I like the DARK layout!

edit: OK I just noticed that the page is "Last modified on 14th January 2003"

Try googleing with 'linux scanner'

for debian, I think the usual behavior also involves adding your user to the "scanner" group.

whether or not there's driver support is another question...
