Hi, Im pretty new to animation in 3DS Max. However, I have some experience from Milkshape. In Milkshape it is possible to bind each vertex to a bone independently. I have not been able to locate a similar functionality in 3DS. Is it possible, or can I only link whole objects?

You need to use the Skin modifier, or Physique (Providing you have Character Studio). You can bind individual verts to bones through both of these.

I looked into it. Doesn't look too easy, but I experimented a bit with the weight painter. Nifty little feature :)

I think I will be ok. Thanx for pointing me in the right direction :)
