Installing Suse Linux 9.1 Personal
So I was installing this on my PC, and the installation was done and up pops this message, it says
These Packages returned and Error

and then it did wierd stuff, im kind of pissed becuase now I can't even boot Windows. . . how do I fix this?
You can download a free md5sum checking utility for windows and then do the sum checks on cd and the number you get from the linux distro download site. You can try doing fdisk /mbr to restore your windows boot sector but I'm not sure how successful that restoration is. I did it and I got file allocation table errors little bit later after I done it. You can also try to reinstall linux again with a good cd disk.

I'd agree it's probably a corrrupt disk. As for getting windows back try reinstalling Suse with as few packages as possible - this will reduce the chance of the installation failing. If it's complets it installs the boot loader which should at least allow you into windows....
