How to use the 2nd 3D card ?
My computer have a S3 Virge and a 3DFX Voodoo 2
I''d like to use the second but how can i do that ?
Thanks
Hi,
Somewhere you should have a file called '3dfxvgl.dll' or something similar (about 1Mb). This should be with the drivers for your voodoo 2.
This is actually 3dfx's opengl driver and if copied and renamed to opengl32.dll and placed in your applications directory, it should use the voodoo 2.
You _could_ put this new opengl32.dll into your \windows\system directory, but a word of warning if you want to do that: It is _not_ a fully qualified opengl implementation, and only features the main game-related gl calls. Installing it in \windows\system means that non-game opengl programs may not work, or work strangely.
Hope this is the answer you were looking for, and as I used to have a S3 Virge/Voodoo 2 combination, I know it works!
