man those sigs are outrageous !!!
you HAVE to gimme the link!!!
I haven''t even read most of your the tutorials. This message board is what impresses me. It has proved invaluable on many occasions. There are a lot of posters here, and the assholery seems relatively low to me. Every other message board I''ve seen has been far worse. If you ask me, this site ranks right up there next to the open source movement.

I saw a lot of crap in the web or too complex code, and i really thought about to give up. till i read your tutorials, and you''re writing the best tutorials if ever seen.
I would write more if i had more time, but i have to code a little bit

u wouldnt understand a german quote :)
Hey NeHe m8, don''t worry too much about what arrogant people (like the ones you''ve described) say.

Quite frankly, your OpenGL tutorials are simply amazing, I have learned every little bit of OpenGL programming that I know, from this site.

Your dedication to this site through all the hardships you and family members have suffered just shows what a great person you really are, and there has never been a time where I have sent you and e-mail to which you haven''t replied, despite the fact that you must get hundreds.

I know I''m not the only one who really appreciates the amount of work and dedication you put into this site.. just look at all the other posts of people thanking you and basically saying what I am.. we wouldn''t be where we are without you.

Much appreciated m8, keep up the excellent work ( or take a break if you need one! )

Glad you decided to stick with us and the site through everything.. and I''m sure there are even greater things to come.

Jeff, you are by far the best programmer out there. Anybody could go out and make a demo, but it takes a TRUE programmer to teach others how to do it. If it weren''t for you, I would be programming in Direct 3D, with no real experiance, and NO idea what OpenGL is. Learning OpenGL is no easy task- without your tutorials.

Just read all of the posts! You made people''s careers! You have given people REASON to program C++.

My hat is off to you Jeff. YOU ARE THE BEST!!!

The Rainmaker : Hate to burst your bubble, but NeHe''s code is just C with the .cpp extension.

Nate''s point was surely not to flame your site... The guy in the post he responded was making an example that there''s no good BSP tutorials out there. Nate Miller has a very good BSP tutorial on his site ;-)

Yanno what? As good as NeHe might be and as much as we all thank him for the wonderful step-by-step tutorials that have helped soooooo many people (like me...), I can''t help but think that he posts these things in the forum just to get dozens and dozens of messages telling him how great he is...

Sometimes a person needs to hear those good comments about themselves in order to get up and running... If all you hear is negative, you kind of get put down, and think that what you''re doing is wrong. I think NeHe''s tutorials are great, and I''m just starting up with OpenGL. I also think that Nate''s tutorials are great, since I''ve always wanted to learn how BSP works

NeHe, you''re doing great!! Keep up the good work, and don''t let anyone to put you down!
