Come on Nehe. Just post a little blurb on the front page about the contest. Plz!!!
*News tagenigma.com is my new domain.
Sum more info:
Being the unofficial host of the contest, I'm not actually entering. In the mean time I'll be looking for solutions to the fullscreen and configuration problems. Once that is done, I'll start looking into following up on some of the administrative stuff the site needs:
I'll also try to get a few articles in on solid code/large scale design, source tree management, and see if i can find any sponsors (NVidia and ATI, I'm lookin @ u).
Another thing to consider:
Should we do guest contest hosts? ie a site regular hosts a contest by providing a theme (and the supporting basecode if necessary), administration, and a prize (or look for a sponsor willing to donate).
Do we have an ultimate goal for our contests...or at least a general direction? Heres the best I can come up with:
- Provide contests that both new and experienced GL users can enter on their spare time. The contests should let the entrant explore new artistic themes and or let them advance their knowledge in some way (in this case its winamp). The entrant can also expect friendly/timely advice and help from members of the online community from both people participating and not participating in the contest (its always been there...just had to say it ;) ).
Cheers,

If anyone has time I need help with the following: Updated PDF, RTF, DOC versions of the tuts. More articles. Someone to verify site links (yes I know there are programs to do that). Someone to check older tuts for mistakes, spelling errors, odd wording, etc.
I'll also try to get a few articles in on solid code/large scale design, source tree management, and see if i can find any sponsors (NVidia and ATI, I'm lookin @ u).

It looks like NeHe is still busy with the BSD switch; should I post a contest thread on the forum with all the info?
