My first 3D stuff
Inspired by some of the 'this is my first 3D x' threads, I decided to put up what I've been working on. I got Maya around tuesday, and it's my first 3D modeling software. Here's a scene I managed to put together. I made the hammer first (as part of a Maya tutorial), then the sword and then the table. The sword I made without reference, but the table I based off of a picture I found online, modifying it slightly of course. My table scene The hammer's handle looks too square, and the swords guard looks a little too roundish, and the table's legs look too much like a bunch of toruses and sphere's unioned together, but an artist is always the most critical of his own work. (Or should be anyway.) Here's the table I based my table off of, tell me how closely I managed to follow the look and feel of it (besides making my table square of course). Victorian Table Tell me what you think.

Scene looks really good with the exception of the sword. The actual modelling of it is good (its shape), but it looks "blah". Assign some materials to it like you did the hammer, and it would be great.
