Hi everyone, Another tune I've been working on here: http://www.roastpork.co.uk/music/faintdistraction.mp3 2.3mb MP3 format - 2mins 22secs (nice and short!) Hope you like it? Thanks for the feedback I got last time! It was very encouraging. Once again I'm looking for work so if you're in need of music drop me an email! Click here to see my website contact page. Thanks Chris
I think that the reverb you've selected is strange and there is a little bit too much of it. The piano sounds lovely :)

I liked it, nice to hear something nice in the morning... :)
Wow! I love it. Reminds me of some of the instrumental pieces on some of Enya's albums, and also a bit of my own music. Sounds like the piano was a real recording, but you could tell it was done with a dynamic mike. You need to get yourself into a studio and use a good combination of condenser mics to get yourself a really clean sound. Make sure you post your next piece on here, I'll look out for it...
Nope, was recorded via midi keyboard :)

Yes, the reverb doesn't sound good - also, compression to .ogg / .mp3 has made the effect worse :(

Thanks for the nice feedback :)
Really? You must have some pretty good piano samples or something. I thought it was live

only thing I'd recommend is trying to avoid the parallel motion you've got between the left and right hand just before you reintroduce the opening theme the first time (about a quarter of the way through) you move back to contrary motion at the last three dyads, but the parallel/similar bit before that sticks out.

Very nice piece.

Thats really nice. Keep it up.
What software are you using for this?

Sounds good thus far keep it up.

Thanks for nice feedback everyone! It is really appreciated.

I am using Fruityloops and all the free samples I can get my hands on!

People who say one package is better than another are wrong! Use what you feel most comfortable with, and let your creativity come through!

p.s. I have some other samples - please visit my homepage www.roastpork.co.uk/showcase :)
