Good OGL engine

dose any one know any good OGL engines that are out there? i would like to start with an engine and then work my way down to the lower lvl stuff so that i can get a better feel for everything thanks [smile]

Have you looked at the Open-source projects such as OGRE? They often support multiple APIs including OpenGL and are created in a way modular that is pretty interesting to drill down into.
yeah i know OGRE looks like a really good engine but its SOO exclusive you have to have VC++ (which i dont have the money to buy) to ues other wise it looks like a great engine its just to bad [bawling]

Well then how about Irrlicht?

I also think there's a MinGW port of OGRE around too - you might want to look for it. Failing either of those, check out the DevMaster 3d Engine DB, you're bound to find something that takes your fancy.
