If you guys can wait a month or a two ... I am programming a card game for someone which is quite original. I am not going to disclose any information to it since its someone elses idea ... but I will post a link here at GameDev.net forums once its finished.
yeah, the profile save card, it's also used in Sega's Initial D & Tekken 5

I did some research about this thing just now, apparently Sega have plenty of arcade card game, the most toable ones is

Mushiking (www.mushiking.com) which surprises me since it's almost too similar to the ones I'm working on
Quest of D - a dungeon hack action game, use the cards to equip your characters
Key of Avalon - a glorified Magic the gatheting type on a board games. The game uses a photo recognition system so taht you just insert your 40 cards deck into it and the game immedietly scan them all, it uses touch screen panel :P Pretty Impressive
"So many of our dreams at first seem impossible, then they seem improbable, and then when we summon the will, they soon become inevitable." - Christopher Reeve (1952-2004)

I thought you were working on B&W2, which would seem like a more involving project than part-time.

It looks to me like you've got quite a few time-consuming projects...applying to a pay-job as a directX programmer, working on the [beautiful] 3d game Black & White 2, and also a 2d fighting game. In addition to that impressive list, you seem to also have time to apply to several for-pay part-time programming jobs, and you're also helping somebody on a card game.

I won't say that I doubt your credentials (or your abilities), but seriously...just what are you ACTUALlY working on?

(also, I assume the B&W2 thing is a joke)
Things change.
Okay Boku San,

I will be waiting for your email.
I am also working on a full detail rpg card game as we speak.

Right now I am working on thestoryline now. Just a bit stumped atthe moment. I have been working on this game for a couple of months now.And I know this idea will work wonderfully.

Card games are fun, and I think the longevity issue is overblown. Sure, everyone would love to create the next Uno or Magic:The Gathering, but I am sure most of us would be happy to create something that a handful of people enjoy. You have to remember that MTG's longevity is largely due to its tournament following, and YuGiOh and Pokemon both have fairly popular licensed cartoon series pushing them.

Card games are difficult to make as well. Balancing a card game is just as difficult as balancing any form of game in which you have variable types of combatants. Take a gander at the volumes of rules data that the Magic : The Gathering game has generated. The more cards you have in your game, the more odd, and possibly gamebreaking, combinations that could occur.

Designing one would be a blast though, its a good way to let your imagination take a long walk.
