Sprites, sprites and more sprites!
May the sprites on the first post be used freely, even in commercial projects?
for that you might have to go to the sites listed in this post to find out their rules......you might have to get permission or add their names to the credits
Yes you had only posted it as for help. But on the otherside copyright is an important issue and lots of people
seemed too upcast (finding everything she/he needed) that
I welcome this rational voice. :-)

Yes, I agree. But each site posted here has it own copyright. So, I didn't post any info about this here.

Yes, yes, don't take me wrong! :-) Really!
I appreciate the links though I paint my own sprites, we only
noted that some attendants of this forum seemed very happy without the sign about noticing the copyright. The sprite
are still helpful for students and for free projects and so.
I am not arguing, this post should be here, and this link list is a very valuable one, though I only wanted to warn people to use these with care.
Cheers

sprite sheets are teh evil... ms paint is a far too complex program. you cant expect someone to understand how one can cut a big picture into little pieces using it.
Try "The GIMP". Complex, yes - about as powerful as PhotoShop - but you don't need to use all of it up front. It's got useful functions like "select contiguous area" and "select by colour", and/or you can grid up the sheet by dragging guidelines from the rulers then hand it to one of the guillotine filters to chop up. http://gimp-win.sourceforge.net/ for MS-Windows. $0.
