I've read a lot of posts regarding publishing and publishers- but was curious if anyone can recommend a retail "buget" publisher they have used. (but not a compilation cd) Do any of the budget publishers package individual products (in fairly professional boxes) and sell them at eboutique, bestbuy, etc.? I don't know of any global budget publishers. That means you need to do several deals in different territories. The good ones are easy to tell. They are open about what it costs them to do business and they will offer something up front. The bad ones either can't or wont.
