new game... NEED HELP!
Yello!
I'm thinking about making a game similar to Unreal Tournament 2003... not 2004 cuz i think they really screwed on that one. Anyway... I would need some volunteers to help make the game. Mabey a few progammers, storyline designers, sound experts, cinematics people, character designers, level designers, artist, and any other kinds of jobs needed to make a game, etc.. Please volunteer and sign up for a job you want... and i'll make a list on my comp., then start the work. Thanks!
By the way... i'm not a programmer, but i've always wanted to make a game like that!

OMG! It's gonna be 3d and really cool and shit.
I wanna be stone-a-bonger, I'll help you with ideas. I love brainstorming. I like to think anything is possible in a game, the sky's the limit.
BTW you using OpenGL or D3D?

The responses are sarcastic because people on Gamedev.net sees a lot of posts like this. Someone wants to get a team together for a game they havn't really planned or has no ideas of the direction they want to take it in. A step in the right direction would be to create a design document. Set up a website with some concept art to get people excited.
Please don't be discouraged. I'm just trying to help. As someone that does not know how to program it will be really difficult to start up and get others intrested. Try learning some C++ or even look into the torque engine (cheap but powerful engine). Games take a lot of work and a lot of the people on these boards are very jaded because they see projects like this all the time that don't ever get off the ground. I wish you the best of luck with your project. I'm sure if you're determined enough you can do it.

I liked the one about some guy who wanted to make a madden football game because he didn't really like the new one EA made.
He said cheerleaders were a must!
Wonder which project would get done first. This or the madden clone?

Yes I'd like to choose the actresses that we're going to video for the character development (they did that in Silent Hill 2). I think we should get Pamela Anderson and Catherine Zeta Jones to do the acting - I'd also like to spend a few weeks with them developing the characters and perhaps going through in slow motion what we're expecting the characters to do.
Sounds easy !
Right ! Next problem - can someone give us $20m dollars to develop the game - as it's going to be massive.
