Anyone remember the name of this cartoon?
Okay it's a japanese or chinese cartoon (japanese i think). I saw it in english but i'm sure that was dubbed.
The main character (who i'm pretty sure is female) is named Naya (or at least pronounced that way). She was born from a flower and to begin with she's really small. But then she grows to the normal size of a child (maybe around 13) pretty quickly (like...10seconds). She a warrior and her weapon is this cool spear. She fights this one evel dragon. Not the big fat ones but the far eastern dragons, long and thin. There is an underwater scene in which a battle takes place. I saw this in the mid 80's i think.
Anyway way i know not much to go on but anybody remember this?

Mario!! He always was a bit camp, maybe he was a cross-dresser... Those mushrooms made him bigger, the flowers made him fire stuff, it was made in the 80's. He fights a dragon, maybe not underwater though. Not sure he's Japanese though.
I have no idea, but the Voices tell me that it could be Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind.
I don't really know, thouggh, since I haven't seen it myself. Your description just matched what I've read about it.

Hey, that reminds me: I've been looking for a movie too.
It's anime, and I'll be damned if I can remember most of the movie... but I distinctly remember the climax. It involved these weird buffalo-looking things stampeding across a wasteland, and this little girl stood in front of them trying to stop them.
She ended up getting trampled or knocked out of something, but the buffalo stopped and somehow brough her back to life(not sure if that last part happened).
I saw it when I was pretty young, so it must have been made in the mid-80's. Anyone have any ideas? By any chance, could it be the same movie?

Well, Korea and China are near each other, so they are probably just different tellings of the same base mythology.
