I choose "Render Scene" and then in the "common" tag, under "Render Output" section, I click on the "Files..." button, and then enter a file name to save. but when I click the "save" button, 3dsmax6 quit by itself. normally, after I click the "save" button, there should be a "AVI file compression setup" windows pops up, but now it just quit. has anyone seen this problem? how to deal with it? thanks

Try to reinstall 3dsMax
